Merkel made her outrage clear in a recent phone call to Obama.She said such monitoring practices would be a 'breach of trust' - if confirmed.The Chancellor also said that 'spying among friends does not work'.Obama apologized - and insisted he had no previous knowledge that the NSA had been tracking her.
